Land-In-Pro project
Land-In-Pro is the acronym of the project “Landscapes of Industrial Production: Documenting and Assessing 20th-century (post)Industrial Landscapes as Resources”, a research project that focuses on the tangible and intangible legacy left by the 20th century (de)industrialization processes in the landscape, envisioning it as a living testimony of the past and potential resource for the future.
Land-In-Pro identifies, investigates, interprets, and assesses (post)industrial landscapes and heritage as resources for local communities’ sustainable development, critically unfolding new perspectives on conservation and adaptive reuse strategies.
Land-In-Pro is a three-year project funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research, as part of the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), Mission 4 "Education and Research" - Component 2 "From research to business", Investment 1. 2 "Funding of projects presented by young researchers" within the NextGenerationEU recovery package.
Land-In-Pro is implemented by Federica Pompejano at the Department of Architecture and Design – DAD, in collaboration with the research group of the Laboratory of Analytical Methods for Restoration and History of the Built Environment and the Geomatics Laboratory, Department of Civil, Chemical and Environmental Engineering – DICCA.
